Transition and Change Are a Part of Life
We all face problems from time-to-time. Usually, we can handle them ourselves without the help of outside resources. But sometimes it makes more sense to reach out for help. That is why some people choose short-term or brief Counseling.
My practice is built around the principle that balance brings wellness and imbalance contributes to stress, distress. You will find this practice to be a safe place, free of judgments. Foremost in our work together is positive regard for your very human strengths and your very human needs.
I believe that life is a constant negotiation between pulls from many directions. Here, you are invited to be heard, be safe, be treated with kindness and patience while you do the mindful, intentional work of exploration.
Seeking out therapy is an individual choice. There are many reasons why people come to therapy. Sometimes it is to deal with long-standing psychological issues, or problems with anxiety or depression. Other times it is in response to unexpected changes in one's life such as a divorce or work transition - life circumstances that we may be struggling to adjust to.
Many seek the advice of counsel as they pursue their own personal exploration and growth. Working with a therapist can help provide insight, support, and new strategies for all types of life challenges. Therapy can help address many types of issues including depression, anxiety, conflict, grief, stress management, body-image issues, and general life transitions. Therapy is right for anyone who is interested in getting the most out of their life by taking responsibility, creating greater self-awareness, and working towards self-acceptance. The good news is with learning how to change your internal and external supports you can feel better--body, mind, and spirit.
Therapy is a step in self-care: taking personal responsibility by accepting where you're at in life and making a commitment to increase your supports by seeking therapy. Therapy provides long-lasting benefits, giving you the skills you need to manage whatever challenges come your way.
